Anderson v1 pg22-23 - letter #16

Dear Brother!

So that you may know at any rate where I am and what I am doing, I really must write to you. First of all, I am well, very well. My art is winning me friends and renown, and what more do I want? And this time I shall make a good deal of money. I shall remain here for a few weeks longer and then travel to Dresden, Leipzig and Berlin. So it will certainly be six weeks at least before I return-

I hope that you will enjoy living in Vienna more and more. But do be on your guard against the whole tribe of bad women. Have you been to see Cousin Ells yet? YP[ruou might write to me here if you care to, and have time to do so.

P[rince] Lichnowsky will soon be on his way back to Vienna. He has already left Prague. Should you need any money, you made make bold to him, for he still owes me some. And now I hope that your life will become more and more pleasant and I trust that I shall be able to contribute to your happiness. All good wishes, dear brother, end think sometimes of your true And faithful brother

                                                                                     L. Beethoven

My greetings to our brother Caspar.

My Address is: Im goldenen Einhorn auf der Kleinseite.
