Anderson v1 pg36-37 - letter #36

I feel sure that I cannot let you have too quickly what Prince L[ichnowsky] has sent for you. It's little enough, I admit, but he is now about to start on his journey; and you know well how much money a man like him requires for that --

Yes, my dear kind Amenda, I must repeat that I am very sorry that you did not inform me sooner of your difficult situation. We could have made quite different arrangements and I should not now be anxious lest you may lack something during your journey - At the moment my circumstances are such that I cannot spare any money. But as this state of affairs cannot last for very long, I beg you most earnestly, if you are in want of anything, whatever it may be, to inform me immediately. For you may rest assured that I shall come to your aid with all speed.--

Since I do not know whether you are really leaving tomorrow, I have thought it necessary to tell you all this at once.

                                                                                            In haste, your
