To the Countess Josephine Deym
Vienna, Spring, 1805

Anderson v1 pg134-135 - letter #113

Dear, kind, beloved . . . . J[osephine] --

I am sending you herewith for the present six bottles of eau de cologne which belong to me -- You can return them to me when you have received yours from my friend the rascal [Anderson footnote: "Probably Zmeskall, who was on very friendly terms with the Brunsvik family."] -- I will try to find you this evening, beloved, dear, dear J[osephine], but if I don't, well, I will invoke all that is evil on the heads of your relations -- All Good wishes, dearest.

I love you as dearly as you do not love me.

                                                                                     Your faithful
                                                                                                      L. v. Beethoven
