To Baron Ignaz von Gleichenstein, Vienna
Baden, June 16, 1807

Anderson v1 pg170-171 - letter #145

I'm hoping to have a reply from you -- as for Simrock's letter, I consider that we could give him the things with modifications, seeing that it would always mean a certain sum; we could make the contract with him only in respect of Paris. Afterwards he can then do what he likes -- In this way the Comptoir d'Industrie could raise no objection -- What do you think? -- I am not very well yet, but I am hoping that my health will improve -- Come to me soon -- I embrace you with all my heart -- Many complements to a most particular place.

                                                               Your
                                                                     Beethoven

To my friend Gleichenstein, who is without his peer in good and evil. The number of Gleichenstein's residence.
