To Baron
Ignaz von Gleichenstein, Vienna
Heiligenstadt, Summer, 1808
Anderson v1 pg195 - letter #172
My dear Gleichenstein!
I
have not yet had time to express to you my delight at your arrival
or to see you - nor to enlighten you about something which presumably
will greatly surprise you - but which cannot do you any real harm,
because another work is appearing in which you will be given what
is due to you - or to our friendship - Please do find out exactly
the present value of the ducat. I will look you up in town tomorrow
between seven and half past - all good wishes.
