Anderson v1 pg203-204 - letter #185

Great and enraged Poet ! ! ! ! ! !

Give up Reichardt - and use my notes for your poetry. I promise you that if you do this you will not be in need - Immediately after my concert which, to counterbalance its purpose of putting some money into my pocket, is robbing me of a good deal of my time, I will go to you, and then we will start work on the opera at once - and it will soon ring in our ears - That reminds me, when we meet we must discuss the matter about which you are justified in voicing your complaints of me - Should you seriously intend, however, to let R[eichardt] compose the music for your operatic text, please let me know this immediately. With kind regards your most devoted
