This pipeline was conceived to carry $3-5 trillion in oil and natural gas from the Caspian Sea basin via Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, where ships docked in Arabian Sea ports would then carry the fuel on to energy hungry Asia, yielding enormous profits for investors. Parenthetically, that harvested oil and gas would further increase heat trapping in our atmosphere.
